Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour ~ Fri, Oct 24, 2014

The Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour, which annually takes place in Dekalb and Cannon Counties on the last full weekend of October, celebrates its 15th birthday this year! And Evins Mill is the perfect launching pad for this ever popular sampling of locally crafted artwork.

Featuring sculptural and decorative ceramics, hand blown and stained glass, reclaimed jewelry, shaker boxes, raku pottery, handmade paper and books, woven wearables, custom designed handbags, furniture, original paintings and sculptures and more, participating studios offer something for every artisan taste.

While the tour begins on Friday, October 24 and extends through Sunday, October 26, Evins Mill is available on Friday night for the Friday & Saturday components of the tour.

The Tour Package includes appetizers and four-course dinner on Friday, a hearty breakfast on Saturday and a to-go box lunch on either day to take with you on the tour, and is $290 to $350 for two guests depending on the room.

Pumpkin Carving ~ Fri, Oct 31, 2014

On Friday, October 31, Evins Mill hosts its annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. With adult participation in mind, each couple is given at check-in one already cleaned out pumpkin - the canvas for their creative designs. Pumpkins will come in similar shapes and sizes but are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

From room check-in at 3:00 to a social hour at 6:00, guests will have ample time to carve their pumpkins, which will then be prominently displayed at the Main Lodge before dinner. The guest with the most creatively carved pumpkin as judged by our staff wins a complimentary night stay at the resort on any Enchanted Night.

Chef Evans has designed a fall-themed menu to compliment the occasion...
