Bluegrass Cookout ~ Sat, Jul 6, '24

On Friday & Saturday, July 5 & 6, the town of Smithville hosts the 53rd Annual Fiddlers' Jamboree & Craft Festival, one of country's premier bluegrass music competitions. Just a few minutes from the Dekalb County Courthouse where the hoedown takes place, Evins Mill is a convenient springboard for the festival - as well as a cool escape from the heat - and a relaxing destination for great meals and overnight accommodations.

To that end, the resort is hosting its own annual Bluegrass Cookout from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. that same Saturday. Appetizers are available as early as 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to book a room or make reservations for dinner-only. Whether you stay over or come just for dinner, come with an appetite, for great food and a tasty slice of Americana music.

Early Summer Break Special ~ 2024


While we usually promote Evins Mill as a place for adults, business groups and special events, the fact is it's a pretty cool place for kids too. To that end, from Sun, Jun 16 through Wed, Jul 3 as part of our Early Summer Special, it is also complimentary for high school age children and younger.

For families remaining close to home this summer but looking for some local adventure, Evins Mill features a variety of family-friendly activities, including...
