 While we usually promote Evins Mill as a place for adults, business groups and special events, the fact is it's a pretty cool place for kids too. And from Sat, Oct 10 through Thu, Oct 14 as part of our Fall Break Special, it is also complimentary for high school age children and younger.

Thanksgiving Feast ~ Thu, Nov 26, 2026

Give your chef a break this Thanksgiving by allowing our chefs to do the heavy lifting. Thursday, November 26, 2026 will feature a traditional Thanksgiving spread from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with table seatings from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The weather is sure to be crisp, the fires will be roaring - and the cuisine will be abundant, including...

Guests are invited to book a room or make reservations for dinner-only. Bluegrass Cookout ~ Sat, Jul 4, '26

On Friday & Saturday, July 3 & 4, the town of Smithville hosts the 55th Annual Fiddlers' Jamboree, one of country's premier bluegrass music competitions. Just a few minutes from the Dekalb County Courthouse where the hoedown takes place, Evins Mill is a convenient springboard for the festival - as well as a cool escape from the heat - and a relaxing destination for great meals, outdoor adventure, and overnight accommodations.

To that end, the resort is hosting its own annual Bluegrass Cookout from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. that same Saturday. In a salute to mothers, and all the women who give us strength, we are hosting our Mother's Day Special from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, when we invite families to treat their matriarch not only to a Mother's Day Brunch but to an extended respite from maternal responsibilities the night before. As part of this special, a family of up to five may stay for the price of one couple.

That stay includes appetizers, dinner, and s'mores around our firepit Saturday night, followed by our storied Mother's Day Bunch the next morning. As always, our chefs will prepare for special dietary restrictions, including kid-friendly dinners.
