On Monday, August 21, Evins Mill finds itself in the propitious position of being in an optimal location to witness a rather rare occurrence - a total solar eclipse. From our property, observers will see two minutes & thirty-two seconds of "totality." Not too shabby. To mark the occasion, we're hosting a brunch of ecliptical proportions.
Served from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. ahead of the eclipse cycle, the brunch menu features full breakfast fare along with moon pies & hearty sides...
- eggs-to-order
- buttermilk pancakes with all the toppings
- grilled southern raised catfish
- Tennessee bacon and sausage
- creamy cheddar grits
- home fried potatoes
- grilled asparagus
- vegetable slaw
- tomato mozzarella tossed salad
- selection of cold cereals and yogurts
- fresh fruit
- muffins, toast and bagels with cream cheese
- moon pies, homemade pastries & cookies
- variety of juices and low fat milk
- coffee and hot beverage selection
Guests will have ample time to explore the property between the end of brunch and the start of the eclipse cycle at 12:00 p.m., which culminates in "totality" at 1:29:21 p.m.
While guests are invited to bring blankets or camping chairs, Evins Mill will provide as part of the brunch package two locations for optimal viewing, folding chairs and NASA-approved eclipse glasses as well as NASA-approved literature about the "Great American Eclipse." While not included in the package price, totality inspired drinks from the bar will be available!
The Totality Brunch package is $35/guest.
