Calfkiller Beer Tasting ~ Sat, Jul 9, 2016

Calfkiller Brewery, based in nearby Sparta, Tennessee, is back at Evins Mill by popular demand for an encore performance on Saturday, July 9. Beginning at 6:00, the brothers Sergio of Calfkiller Brewing Company will, in a setting as irreverent as it is beautiful, sample their products and share their story.

Well-known for "unparalleled drinkability, paradoxically balanced by uncompromised complexity," Calfkiller beer has attracted a devoted following among micro-brew enthusiasts and beer lovers throughout Tennessee.

The tasting will be paired with an assortment of appetizers and be followed by a festive and abundant buffet dinner, served at 7:00 and prepared by our own Chef Evans, who has attracted a following of his own, and who has designed a menu to compliment the tasting...

  • Tennessee-raised steaks fresh from the grill, with homemade chimichhurri and baby back ribs

Music at the Mill ~ Sat, Oct 31, 2015

On Saturday, October 31, as part of its on-going "Music at the Mill" series, Evins Mill is hosting its second concert performance of 2015, featuring the music of Nashville-based singer-songwriter Lisa Witty

With smart, but not-too-clever lyrics, and beautiful, yet sometimes edgy melodies, Lisa's songs embody much of who she is and where she came from. Growing up in Northern Michigan around the Great Lakes, she was influenced by the peaceful, yet often tumultuous landscape that surrounded her. Drawing on those experiences, Lisa has penned a collection of thought-provoking songs for her new and critically acclaimed album "Lessons In White Light."

She will be accompanied by Nashville-based session guitarist Jerry McPherson, who co-produced the album. While Jerry has toured with Faith Hill, Amy Grant, Reba McEntire & Vince Gill, he has also worked with many studio artists, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Don Henly, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban & Chris Isaak.

Together, they make a great team that will bring you some beautiful music! For more information about Lisa and her new album, click here!

In addition to the post-dinner concert, the "Music at the Mill" package includes hors d'oeuvres, four-course dinner, hearty breakfast & gourmet box lunch, and is $315 to $375 per couple depending on the room reserved. Reservations for dinner & concert only are also available at $120 per couple. Call 615.269.3740 (nashville) or 615.286.2090 (smithville) for reservations.
