After a pandemic-inspired hiatus, the boys from Calfkiller Brewery, based in nearby Sparta, TN, are back at Evins Mill on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Beginning at 6:00, the ever engaging Brothers Sergio will sample their suds and share their story.
Well-known for "unparalleled drinkability, paradoxically balanced by uncompromised complexity," Calfkiller beer has attracted a devoted following among micro-brew enthusiasts and beer lovers throughout Tennessee and beyond.
The tasting will be paired not only with an assortment of appetizers and a festive buffet dinner, served at 7:00, but also with live music and a square dance performance by Smithville Select.
Prepared by our own Chef Evans, who has attracted a following of his own, dinner will feature a Southern Fish Fry theme, including...
- fried catfish and hushpuppies
- grilled local flank steak
- baby back ribs
- variety of salads and sides from the local Farmer’s Market
- dessert to be determined (but one that will incorporate Calfkiller beer!)
