Stonehaus Wine Tasting ~ Sat, Aug 27, '11

Stonehaus Winery, based in Crossville, Tenneessee, is hosting a wine tasting at Evins Mill on Saturday, Aug 27. Beginning at 6:00, Rob Ramsey, owner of Stonehaus, will discuss the history of wine making in Tennessee and sample many Stonehaus wines, including some of his newest sparkling wines, a crisp Pinot Gris and a fruity Muscadine to name only a few.

The tasting will be accompanied by an assortment of appetizers and continue through a four-course dinner, served at 7:00 and prepared by our own Chef Evans, who has tailor crafted a menu to compliment the tasting...

Calfkiller Beer Tasting ~ Sat, Aug 13, '11

Calfkiller Brewery, based in Sparta, Tenneessee, is hosting a beer tasting at Evins Mill on Saturday, Aug 13. Beginning at 6:00, the Sergio brothers, who own Calfkiller Brewery, will discuss the beer making process in general and the story of Calfkiller beer in particular. Even better, they will be sampling many of their beers.

Bluegrass Cookout ~ Sat, 7.2, '11


On Saturday, July 7, 2012, the sleepy town of Smithville will host the 40th Annual Fiddlers' Jamboree & Craft Festival, one of country's premier bluegrass competitions. Just a few minutes from the Dekalb County Courthouse, where the hoedown takes place, Evins Mill is a convenient springboard for the festival - as well as a cool escape from the heat and a relaxing destination for great meals and overnight accommodations.

To that end, the Inn is hosting its own annual Bluegrass Cookout from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. that same Saturday. Appetizers are available as early as 6:00 p.m. As always, guests are invited to arrive early and enjoy a stroll to Carmac Falls or a game of pool at Courtland Game Hall. Baillie & The Boys Concert ~ Sat, May 7, '11

In conjunction with the accomplished singer-songwriter duo Baillie & The Boys and up-and-coming talent Alyssa Bonagura, Evins Mill is hosting an intimate evening of acoustic music this Saturday, May 7 at 8:00, preceded by an equally intimate dinner served at 6:30.

The concert will feature a 90-minute acoustic show over candlelight and wine. The stage is set for couples to unwind over a great meal and great music. The artists perform along side guests, creating a "writers' in the round" like setting. For a Baillie & the Boys music video, click here.
